Growing up my mother was constantly signing me up for different art classes and camps. She encouraged me to be creative and explore the art world. As I became more interested in art I started to grow a passion for teaching others. I attended St. Lawrence University (SLU) majoring in Fine arts and Minoring in education. During my time at SLU along with art I also enjoyed being a part of the women’s lacrosse team. After graduating I moved to Portland, OR. There I coached lacrosse and worked at a Recreation center. After a Year I moved back to VT (I grew up in Charlotte, VT) and did the post baccalaureate program at the University of Vermont where I received my teaching certification and license. Previously I worked at Charlotte Central school for two years before becoming a part of the Mt. Abe community. I’m looking forward to creating a space where all students are excited to create, explore and grow as individuals.
