Caroline Camara

My life as an educator is exciting, dynamic and inspiring!  I trully value the time and energy I share with the learners, both young and old, at Mt. Abraham UMHS! Participating with my community to raise the future generations of citizens, business people, agriculturists and innovators fills my heart with joy.  After working at Vergennes UHS for my first 4 years of practice, I joined the Mt. Abraham faculty in 2005, as a general science educator teaching Chemistry and Earth Science.  I am now a Teacher-Leader for the Personalized Learning Department where I advise learners in developing the learning processes and help them examine their learning through the Critical Thinking Competency.  I am also a member of the Personalized Learning Support Team for the ANESU District and serve as an Instructional Coach for Mt. Abraham.
I earned my Bacheor's of Science in Biochemistry at St. Michael's College in 1988.  I completed the requirements for a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Vermont in 2004.  I am currently enrolled in a two-year certificate program "Learning, Connecting & Leading in the 21st-Century" through the VT High Education Collaborative and Castleton College.  Outside of education, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, Kevin.  We hike, kayak, garden and travel around Vermont seeing new and fun sites.  I have two adult children, Craig and Katrina, both MAUHS graduates.
