Ms. Jori Jacobeit

Biography:

I grew up in the Chicago area in a family of educators.  I attended Illinois Wesleyan University where I earned degrees in International Business and French.  I completed a Master's degree in Teaching in Chicago before moving to Vermont in 2007.  I began work on my Master's in French at Middlebury College in the summer of 2008.

This is my ninth year teaching French at Mt. Abe.  I teach all levels of French and particularly enjoy getting to know students over the course of several years.  I feel especially lucky to teach the language in a region where French is so relevant to our culture and economy.  I visit
Québec regularly and organize visits for students every two years.

I live in Shoreham with my husband and my four-year-old daughter.  I am an avid runner and I enjoy hiking in the mountains of Vermont.  I also love reading, gardening, and cooking.
