I have been teaching at Mt. Abe since 1988, when I graduated from Middlebury College. I teach mostly 9th grade English on the GoVT team, but also teach Journalism, Page to Screen, and Composition I and II.
I grew up in the Rutland area and have a B.A. from Middlebury College and a Master's degree from Breadloaf School of English. I love teaching literature, especially to 9th graders!
I also coach the cross country team in the fall and am the advisor for New England Young Writers' Conference and Vermont Young Playwrights. As the Journalism teacher, I assist students in producing the school newspaper, The Bird's Eye View, which is published quarterly in the Addison Independent.
I live in Monkton with my husband, daughter and yellow lab. I enjoy running, skiing, golfing, horseback riding, swimming and biking.
